Miele HEPA filters are rated for 50 hours of vacuuming, that means for the average user the filter will last one year. The SF-HA50 comes with brand new Timestrip technology. The Timestrip which is attached to the filter cartridge can be activated with a firm press of your finger. The strip slowly turns red throughout the year, once the strip is completely red it is time to change your filter.
If you do not have HEPA filtration currently you can always upgrade your S4000, S5000, S6000, S8000. Compact C2 or Complete C3 machine to HEPA with this SF-HA50 filter.
